E-Tec Slide Intake (ESI)
ESI by DBR. This slide intake is a work of art. 3 years in testing. The ESI cranks out almost 20 more hp than any other intake we have tested. We have run numerous designs and finally pulled the trigger on this one. Injectors are fired into the crankcase like a 2.5 Mercury drag. With modern fuel injection, injection phasing can be dialed in for maximum fuel atomization and brake specific fuel consumption. No more butterflies, linkage, or hard to tune individual runners. F-1 inspired intake runners and perfect CNC machining will make your engine run like a plenum. Simple, light, powerful. The stock E-Tec reed cages are used and we have reeds for most builds. A fuel injector boss plate must be installed on your E-Tec front half. We can do the installation if you are not comfortable doing it yourself. We use the latest and greatest Bosch EV-14 injectors. These injectors are expensive but worth every penny. They come with a dead time injection map to help you program your ECU dead time map. The billet light weight fuel rail is held in place with two sanitary, strong billet mounts. This intake is designed to be run with an aftermarket ECU and ignition.
